Self Care Massage Yoga and Meditation - Why to Start and How






Taking care of yourself is the most important thing you can do for everyone around you. When you make a conscious decision to take the time and energy towards yourself you are doing a greater service to others. The more you do for others, the more you must do for yourself. Life is balance and self care is the one of the most important things you can do for the better of all people around you. Making the simple effort to make sure that you are centered balanced and calm is the first step. By setting aside a specific time that you devote only to yourself is a very great way to maintain balance and control in your life. Yoga, meditation, massage and self massage are easy safe and very effective ways to keep balance and control as central aspects in your life.

It is often the simplest of things that is hardest. Just taking some time out of your day to relax and do as little as possible is "time consuming" or to hard. But it's important to remind yourself that it is your responsibility to take care of yourself. It is entirely up to you to make sure that your body and mind or doing the correct things for you and you only. If you are waiting for someone else to step up and force you to take care of yourself then you are mistaken. It is your responsibility to take the time out of your schedule to relax, unwind and let go of any negative thought or emotions that you may be holding onto. Balance and peace are only achieved by taking the time to care for yourself. Doing yoga, self massage and meditation are the easiest most cost effective methods for assisting you to have more balance in your life.

The first step is always the hardest it's simple start with a very easy and enjoyable activity that makes you feel good and over time with each day. The easiest way to simply learn how to relax and let go for the true beginner is to lay on your back on either a soft carpeted floor a yoga or meditation mat a rug or blanket. Just make sure that it is comfortable, it will make it easier and more enjoyable for you to practice on a regular basis. Everyday practice is the most important thing. Even if it is only five minutes per day that is perfect, as long as your making the effort to take care of yourself that is a good start.

Lay on your back and begin to visualize your head from the inside out. Visualize your brain and start to feel any tight spots or areas of tension disappearing. Then move to your face, then your neck both front and back. Then move to your shoulders arms hands fingers etc. Then move back to your chest to your stomach then the hips knees ankles feet and toes.

Visualize each part of your body as having no tension or pain. Start doing this for a quick five minutes, then gradually spend more and more time.
